INSURANCE BROKING – ADVOCATING FOR THE CLIENT

As trusted insurance advisers, we are integral business partners for our clients. We represent the client/Insured and are the conduit between them and the insurer, ensuring both parties get the outcome they need. Our job is to build relationships with the client, understand their business, identify risks and help them put tools and programs in place to protect their assets, largely through the placement and management of insurance policies via our insurer partners. Most importantly, we provide advice, add real value to their business, and when things go wrong, we support them through every step of the claims process to get them back to where they were before the loss.
THE ROLE
As a Trainee or Graduate, you will become an important part of our team, and with supported learning, will help us ensure that our clients receive the best service and advice possible.
You will get hands on industry experience by working closely with the Account Executives and Senior Account Executives across all areas of client portfolio management. With clients across a wide range of industries, you will gain key insights into how different businesses are run and how they can be adequately insured. Some of the key components of this 12 month program include:
- Working with Account Executives and Senior Account Executives across all areas of client portfolio management and administration, including new and existing accounts. This will involve analysing client risk, quoting, placing, and processing policies, assisting with the management of claims, debtor management, checking policy documentation and overall document management.
- Building relationships and liaising with clients, insurers and other key stakeholders
- Preparing insurance proposals and submissions under the guidance of the Account Executives
- Working with the Account Executives to identify and convert new business opportunities.
- Providing a consistently high level of customer service and work as part of a team in a people focused office with a fantastic culture
- Participating in rotations through industry partners to gain exposure to all aspects of the insurance industry such as loss adjusters, insurers in claims and underwriting and premium funders (interstate travel may be involved)
- Undertaking additional training to further your career, fully funded by allinsure:
- Trainee: Undertake your Tier 2 RG146 in Insurance Broking and Certificate IV in Business Administration
- Graduate: Work through your Tier 1 RG146 Insurance Broking qualification and/or Certificate IV in Business Administration if desired
- Being provided with opportunities for growth and development on a pathway to an Internal Account Executive Role where you will be able to manage your own portfolio of clients if desired, or other varied industry career pathways.
